As the most important trade fair worldwide for architecture, materials and systems, this year's BAU is once again a central venue for the construction industry. Warema, the European market leader for intelligently controlled shading solutions, will present its highlights at the Munich trade fair site from April 17-22, 2023 in Hall C2, Booth 338. The centerpiece for the full-service provider will be diverse product applications for energy-efficient sun protection and complete services.
Modern blinds today meet a wide variety of needs. It protects against heat and prying eyes, contributes to energy efficiency and increases the comfort and safety of occupants through intelligent control systems. As early as the planning stage - whether as part of a modernization or renovation project or a new building - important adjustment screws can be turned, e.g. to make the best possible use of daylight control or to optimize building automation with intelligent bus systems. The Warema booth at the BAU reflects this wide variety of application possibilities with the themed worlds: Renovate & Remodel, Safety & Wellbeing, Smart Building, Architectural Solutions and Outdoor Living.
When shading solutions are integrated into existing buildings as part of a modernization or renovation project, Warema's shaft systems provide a high degree of efficiency. In addition to shaft external blinds and shaft system roller shutters, Warema has expanded its product solutions for retrofitting into shafts and hoods to include a flexible frame screen. Because this screen is almost completely pre-manufactured, high system reliability is guaranteed and assembly, also due to the self-supporting, plug-in construction, becomes simple and economical.
In the event of a power failure, rescue routes must be able to be cleared quickly. With SecuKit for exterior blinds, this is possible in just a few seconds. By lifting the exterior blinds, the end rail is locked laterally into the guide rails at a predetermined height, leaving the escape route to the outside open. This visually unobtrusive integration into the facade brings simple and fast security. With it, all of Warema's facade products, roller shutter, frame-screen and exterior blinds now have this safety feature.
The intelligent control system of shading products makes an important contribution to the energy efficiency of buildings and ensures a high level of user comfort. Warema presents at the BAU with the new Omnexo system a solar shading control system that is especially suitable for applications in medium-sized commercial and functional buildings, such as kindergartens, schools, office buildings, hospitals or also industrial buildings. This sunlight controller functions via web technology and can be commissioned and operated with any browser-compatible device. A special highlight: The bus system of wired actuators can be combined with wireless WMS components, making it possible to make use of the advantages of both systems when controlling them.
On display for the first time at the fair: the new flat slat Windra 80 WF from Warema. The Windra sun protection system was developed especially for demanding, wind-exposed facades and can withstand wind speeds of up to 90 km/h. The system thus combines the elegant slenderness of the flat slat with extraordinary stability - providing flexible daylight control and reliable heat protection even under high wind loads.
Sun protection solutions from Warema create pleasant and protected spaces in the garden, on the balcony or on the terrace. Both with awning solutions that offer fresh colors and inspiring designs with the new Spectrum cloth collection and, for example, with the Lamaxa L50 roof system. At the BAU, Warema will present the L50 View with glass enclosure. More visibility is also offered by the new VisioNeo View. With this, Warema complements its system of fall protection for floor-to-ceiling windows on upper floors with a filigree balcony glass balustrade. With straight lines, plenty of glass and a minimum number of uprights, clear accents are set in new buildings or renovations with a modern design, without visually disturbing point glass holders or compromises in balcony drainage.

From commissioning to optimization of control systems, from consulting on renovation and modernization to demanding repairs and increasingly important cleaning requirements.
