Efficient sun protection is great. It gets even better when two products complement each other perfectly. For controlling, protecting, and conveniently operating high-quality folding-arm awnings, SELVE presents the combination of the SE Breeze-com awning drive and the new wireless outdoor light sensor, the Commeo Light Send Outdoor.

The SE Breeze-com was specifically developed for high-quality folding-arm awnings and other fabric sun protection applications. A key feature is its integrated wind detection. Thanks to a built-in accelerometer, the drive detects movements of the awning and automatically issues the command to retract it when necessary. This helps prevent damage caused by sudden gusts of wind.

Setting Different Threshold Values

The new commeo Light Send Outdoor is a practical addition to this system. This wireless outdoor light sensor ensures that the sunshade automatically extends or retracts based on the measured light intensity. Depending on the user’s preferences, eight different threshold values can be set directly on the device. This allows the awning to respond automatically to current weather conditions: when sunlight hits it, the awning retracts; when the wind gets too strong, it retracts safely.

According to SELVE, both products complement each other perfectly when it comes to the convenient operation of high-quality folding-arm awnings. In addition, the SE Breeze-com is now also available for larger installations. The new drive variant in Series 3, with 70 Nm of torque and a higher speed of 17 revolutions per minute, is particularly well-suited for wide, deep-projecting awnings. For specialty retailers, this represents a robust solution that convincingly combines comfort, safety, and automatic operation.
