Compared to traditional PVC screen fabrics, PVC-free alternatives have a softer, more textile-like look and feel that better aligns with contemporary architecture and interior design trends. In addition, these fabrics contain no PFAS, no PVC, and no plasticizers, resulting in less odor during processing and use, a lower environmental impact, and a healthier end product. Our own NederLux Solar Screen Starscreen collection is a key part of this range. This high-quality 100% polyester screen fabric is exceptionally strong, lightweight, and highly dimensionally stable. Thanks to its high dimensional stability, Starscreen is universally applicable in a wide variety of sun protection systems, including vertical screens, horizontal screen systems, patio awnings, drop-arm awnings, and retractable awnings. This makes it easy to combine different systems within a single project while fully maintaining the fabric’s appearance and quality. The fabric’s refined appearance also gives buildings a warmer and more natural look than traditional PVC fabrics. High quality finishing

PVC-free fabrics can be fitted with a zipper featuring an additional weldable seal strip, or with the Plastex Aviasta flexible, weldable, and stitchable snap-fit strip. When combined with the Plastex BOBA bottom hem, this creates a durable, strong, and aesthetically pleasing finish that perfectly complements modern sun protection systems. All PVC-free screen fabrics from SolFaction are available on rolls, as cut pieces, or fully assembled. Plastex finishing solutions are also available separately through Guillaume Janssen.
