Even smarter curtains: Luxaflex® revamps smarthome system PowerView® Automation

The Powerview^® Automation system from Luxaflex®^®, the market leader in window coverings, is available in a totally updated version. With the smart wireless system you control via remote control, wall control or with the PowerView^® App the window decoration throughout the house - even remotely. One of the innovations is that the app now connects even more easily to your window decorations and other smart systems in the home via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi, offering greater flexibility and range.

Updated app and better connection to smart system

Since its introduction in 2016, PowerView^® Automation continues to evolve and become smarter. The new version includes the following updates:

• Faster installation and shorter programming time 
• Improved app functionality and experience for users 
• Greater insight with optimized two-way communication 
• Improved performance and reliability using Bluetooth 5.0 
• Fully remotely manageable by RemoteConnect™ 
• Expanded remote control functionality 
• Fully set products including standard scenes

The revamped system connects even better with the most common smart systems, such as Amazon Alexa, Google Home and Apple Homekit, allowing voice control as well. Existing users of PowerView^® Automation, of course, can also use the new app to control their previously purchased products.

Remote opening and closing

With the smart system, you open and close the curtains remotely, even from your vacation destination. This makes it seem like you are still at home and you can go on vacation with peace of mind. Via the app, you can also set fixed times for opening and closing your window decorations.

Smart living is saving energy

Through the windows, a lot of heat can escape or just come in, incurring additional costs. With PowerView^® Automation you save on energy, because the system is easy to pair with a smart thermostat. For example, you can set it up so that when the thermostat reaches a certain temperature, the heating or air conditioning is turned off and the smart window decoration moves down. In the summer months, this way you easily close the window decoration while you are not at home, so that the sun does not heat up the house and the indoor temperature is manageable.

Additional insulation is possible with PowerView^® powered Duette^® Shades Architella^® or by combining several types of window coverings in front of the window and in one scenario. This way you control the indoor temperature optimally and save on costs for heating in winter or air conditioning in summer.
