European trade fair for window, door, sun protection, facade and access technology
From January 17 to 19, 2024, it is once again gathering time for the leaders in the world of window, door, sun protection, façade and access technology. The 21st edition of the renowned Polyclose trade and networking fair will then take place at Flanders Expo in Ghent, Belgium. For three days - with opening hours until 8 p.m. on Thursday - sector colleagues will find inspiration and innovations from leading Belgian, Dutch, German, French and other European exhibitors. Ventilation and climate control, modern living comfort and attention to sustainability and circularity are more central than ever. New applications will be revealed for the first time and there will be numerous live demonstrations for installers. In addition to many familiar exhibitors, newcomers will also present themselves to the market for the first time. Admission is free and exclusive for professionals. Tickets can be requested in advance at Polyclose.be.
Already for the 21st time, the most important European market players will showcase their latest innovations from Wednesday to Friday to some 14,000 professionals - about a quarter of whom are from the Netherlands. This makes Polyclose an efficient, but also pleasant opportunity to reach many people in a relatively short time and to keep up to date with the latest developments and innovations in the world of window, door, sun protection, façade and access technology.
This edition of Polyclose will also be an international meeting place for the building of tomorrow. Builders have ever more sustainability and circularity requirements. Functionality, living comfort and design must go hand in hand. Contractors, architects and building owners will have the opportunity at the trade fair to explore the latest solutions and developments in energy efficiency, safety and sustainability.
The trend of sleek and ultra-slim window profiles with large areas of glass continues to advance, with all the possible challenges of mounting, insulation, ventilation and shading. Doors must score high not only in terms of design, but also in terms of burglary protection and insulation. In the facade construction high-performance films have made their final appearance. Besides being aesthetic, durable and exceptionally versatile, there are also solar control, burglar resistance and even soundproof films on the market.
Screen awning, whether automated or not, has been on the rise in recent decades to prevent indoor heating and reduce building energy consumption. Architects are increasingly integrating fabric awnings as façade elements. Minimalism is a hot topic in this regard. Contemporary shading systems are controlled using natural energy sources, such as a solar panel, so they are also less consuming.
Thanks to mild winters, the screen season longer and longer. These too must fit into the trend of seamless window, door and façade styles.
Outdoor living is not just hype; it is here to stay. Terrace covers are impossible to imagine the range of blinds without. They are increasingly becoming an extension of the home's interior and adapted to personal style. It is therefore no surprise that versatile canopies, attached or free-standing, available in different materials, and related products will feature prominently at the trade fair.
The importance of end-to-end digitization in companies continues to increase. Innovative software solutions, which support window, door, blinds, and façade manufacturers to optimally digitize their business processes, will be on display at Polyclose.
"We are very pleased with the registrations so far and confident that we are going to have a successful fair in 2024," he said. said organizer Guy Martens. "We are proud to create an environment where professionals can network, exchange knowledge and be inspired by the latest developments. Polyclose encourages growth and progress in the industry, which is increasingly focused on sustainability, and provides valuable business opportunities for all attendees."
