Technology has become an integral part of everyday life and the term "smart home" is heard more and more often. The market continues to expand with new developments and innovations, including in the window coverings industry. Smart devices that can be remotely controlled or "think for themselves. To anticipate this, Zonnelux is presenting smart window decoration based on battery motors, which the company says bring together simplicity, comfort and design.
Zonnelux smart window coverings are electrically powered and can be operated in several ways. Pull operation is done with a cord. By pulling on it briefly, the window decoration - electrically driven - goes up or down. Operation by remote control is also possible. It has multiple channels for operating the window coverings of several windows simultaneously or separately.
Zonnelux's smart window coverings can also be controlled with an app. The battery motors come standard with bluetooth, allowing connection, without the need for a hub, to the app. Control can be easily set up by scanning the QR code and following the installation steps. The end user can then use his or her smartphone to control the window covering and, for example, see how far the window covering has been opened. At a later stage, there is always the possibility of connecting the motors to a hub.
Smart window decoration is of course intended to make life more comfortable: at the touch of a button, it moves with the rhythm of daily life. But Zonnelux offers more possibilities, such as using voice controls, timers or scenarios.
According to Zonnelux, the Smart Window Covering concept is distinctive in design, in connectivity and because the battery is integrated into the product. A battery motor is available for all products, but the showpieces are the large-size tilt&lift motor for wood blinds and the top-down-bottom-up motor for Duette. According to Zonnelux, the concept offers added value in terms of comfort, safety and energy savings.
