Introducing new collection of Duette® & Plissé Shades

In June, SUNWAY® introduced its new Duette® and Plissé Shades collection. "It has become a versatile and colorful collection," said SUNWAY® marketing communications manager Linda Muis. "Also at SUNWAY®, we are trying to make the world a little more sustainable. We strive to include more and more sustainable materials in our collections. In this new collection of Duette® and Plissé Shades, we have therefore added two new qualities. One is GreenScreen Sea-Tex®, which consists of 50% recycled ocean plastic. The other is Re-Tex, a high-quality fabric made for 40% from used PET bottles." 

A new series of Duette® Shades is Metallic, says Muis. "Beautiful warm metallic colors, such as bronze, copper and gold give a luxurious touch to the interior." Another series is Oyster: eight colors with pearlescent sheen and a Topar coating on the back, which provides good sun and heat reflection." 

In addition, a number of new coatings and treatments have been added to the pleated fabrics. "StainStop is a new dirt-repellent, environmentally friendly fabric treatment that provides superior protection against the most common water-based household stains, such as cola, coffee and tea," said Muis. "The fabric is easy to clean and provides extra protection in humid areas. Topar Plus fabrics have a dirt and moisture repellent coating on the window side in addition to 65% sun and heat reflection." 

EASE motor

The new collection also includes a new motor. It is the EASE motor, which can be easily installed. With this motor, products can be controlled remotely via smartphone. This can be done from anywhere in the world where there is a WiFi connection. It is also possible to set scenes so that window coverings open and close at preset times. The position of the window coverings can be checked from any location. "A nice addition in view of the approaching vacation season," Linda Muis believes. 

In the top-down-bottom-up version, the bottom and intermediate slats can be operated independently, but it is also possible to move the entire package to the desired position. 

All EASE models come with a rechargeable battery that is neatly incorporated into the new top box. The EASE motors can also be integrated into a smart home environment, such as Alexa and Google Home.
