Since 1875, the Austrian Sattler Group - now with three subsidiaries - has been a leader in technical textile qualities for awnings, tarpaulins and textile architecture, among other things. Spread across three locations, the company employs nearly 800 people. 

The SUN-TEX division and the US brand OUTDURA focus on the business market for awnings, tarpaulins and covers for boats, fabrics for camping and caravan applications and outdoor garden furniture fabrics. The highest quality acrylic fibers are used for these purposes. 

The sun protection materials are produced in the company's own weaving mill at the Rudersdorf location and then refined according to the highTEX criteria in the town of Gössendorf near Graz, which incidentally is also home to Sattler's headquarters. The high-quality weaving and finishing make Sattler SUN-TEX the market leader in Europe, particularly in the area of sun protection fabrics. Meanwhile, Sattler SUN-TEX is also "OEKO-TEX® Made in Green" certified.

The PRO-TEX division presents itself as the perfect partner for specific requests from industry. These include, for example, truck tarpaulins, which are exposed to extreme loads, as well as other PVC-coated fabrics produced for a variety of applications, such as for tents, biogas storage and air halls. Sattler PRO-TEX has also been an official partner of VinylPlus® for many years.

Certified to ÖNORM EN ISO 9001:2008 and ÖNORM EN ISO 14001:2004, Sattler combines traditional attributes such as quality, knowledge, flexibility and reliability with an innovative approach. This combination forms the basis for what the company stands for: Thinking HighTex. No wonder then that Sattler has been a sunny success story for almost 150 years, meanwhile also on the Dutch market.
