The final sprint is on. SELVE has almost completed preparations for this leading trade fair in Stuttgart. Since the summer "our developers have again put a lot of time and work into innovations demanded by the market," emphasizes Managing Director Andreas Böck. Therefore, the company will soon be able to present some "very, very interesting solutions" in all product groups. At the R+T, which takes place from Feb. 19 to 23, SELVE will be in the limelight with technological innovations in the field of drives and controls, as well as with textile shutters and awnings. Our newly designed exhibition stand remains true to our motto "touch and try.
"We are greatly looking forward to finally being able to welcome the trade specialists to our booth again in person and exchange ideas directly with them," says Andreas Böck. We have plenty to talk about. Because in addition to innovative and particularly quiet drives, we also have new bidirectional products in our wireless Commeo program, as well as new SELVE solutions for escape routes and much more. We have "a lot to offer when it comes to textile sun protection," says the SELVE company manager, "our visitors can surely look forward to it." The development departments in Lüdenscheid have been "working energetically" for months. The same applies to the SELVE project team that takes care of the complete organization of our presence at the R+T.
With a new booth layout and many new products, SELVE can for the first time demonstrate the SE Breeze-com with all its smart functions to trade professionals. The innovative drive solution, which immediately provides the same wind protection as with a high-performance awning, is already available as a series product, but was not yet on display at the R+T. As a brand new and special highlight, SELVE has the "SEZ-NHK" (with emergency crank) in its trade fair luggage. This drive for zip-screens is an emergency opening system in the range of special SELVE solutions for escape and rescue routes. In addition, the company from Lüdenscheid will present another interesting innovation in Stuttgart: "a particularly quiet drive for outdoor awnings," Andreas Böck reveals in advance.
SELVE is also bringing a lot of movement into the game when it comes to motorizing shutters. The innovative "SI" drive generation is likely to attract a lot of attention: "Our developers have invested a lot of time in this, including for a new motor concept," Andreas Böck explains. This drive - SI stands for "SELVE Intelligence" - not only ensures quiet operation of the screens, but is also equipped with variable motion speeds and other functions. For even quieter operation, the speed of the SI can be reduced. "Another novelty is that we can finally present our newly developed solar solution with Commeo," says the company president. With the solar set, shutters can be motorized completely self-sufficiently. In this process, a bidirectional motor is powered wirelessly by a battery that in turn is charged by a solar panel.
SELVE also offers innovations and fine-tunings in the control area. Andreas Böck explains that the bi-directional, wireless Commeo system has been extended in several ways, including new receivers for certain applications. SELVE has developed four versions of the Commeo Receive. Whether they are intended for retrofitting wired drives, or for controlling other electrical devices, such as lights or garage door motors ... the flush-mounted receivers are considerably smaller and also have an integrated antenna. In addition, SELVE presents a new hand transmitter model that feels even more ergonomic. The application possibilities of Commeo have been further expanded to include the operation of garage doors by means of a compact hand transmitter for on the keychain. Furthermore, there is a new outdoor light sensor. SELVE has also set its sights on new technologies that function with products from other manufacturers: "At the R+T, we are presenting a solution for the compatibility of our control products with the connection standard Matter Smarthome," said the company president.
This is by no means all. SELVE also has product improvements in store for emergency opening of motorized shutters, such as a new lever for the MAN Rescue emergency control system, which allows heavy screens to be opened in seconds. In addition, the total supplier is coming up with several innovations in the area of mechanical components - including a plug-in engine cable for the 1 Series and various modifications of engine heads for different fields of application. Furthermore, Andreas Böck explains that the interlocks against unwanted opening of roller shutters and rigid shaft connections have been optimized especially for the French market.
"The number and diversity of new developments shows that we are doing everything we can to stimulate the market and design customized solutions for our customers," he emphasizes. The new booth layout provides the right framework and the ideal platform for live presentations in Stuttgart.
Here, too, SELVE shows a particularly innovative side. "Our concept connects urban architecture with sustainability," says Alexander Vogt, head of marketing at SELVE. "The clear, functional design of our booth, reminiscent of a modern urban district, is combined with natural materials that refer to the environment and energy conservation." The nearly 300 m2 booth (Hall 5, booth A12) warmly welcomes visitors and invites special encounters between people and modern technology. Everything is to be touched, discovered, tried out and experienced. For this purpose, the booth, which is divided into different zones according to the main themes of SELVE, will be equipped with a number of sample windows and show models. A large lounge area stimulates exchange and communication. Here, trade specialists can get first-hand information from SELVE's experts about new developments and trends in the industry.
