R+T to be delayed until 2022

Messe Stuttgart is postponing the next edition of R+T - the world's leading trade fair for roller shutters, doors/ports and blinds - until February 21 - 25, 2022. The decision is the result of intensive discussions between the project managers and all partners, supporting associations, the advisory board and leading manufacturers.

In addition, an extensive, largely personal survey of national and international exhibitors was conducted in recent weeks, which also yielded clear results. Particularly due to the high level of internationality and the extremely long preparation phase, it does not appear to be possible to reliably implement R+T in the usual quality at this time. By shifting to 2022, the organization wants to offer its exhibitors and partners the greatest possible planning certainty. It is pleased to have found a solution together with the industry to build on the success of the world's leading trade show. 

New digital R+T format in 2021

However, the postponement of R+T also opens new doors. On the original dates of the event, from Feb. 22 to 26, 2021, exhibitors will have the opportunity to present the innovations and new products they have developed on a digital platform - R+T Digital - to a global trade audience. At the heart of this digital format is the R+T Innovation Award, which will take place as a live event. The program will be complemented by hybrid, industry-specific lectures and various matchmaking opportunities.

The next edition of R+T will be postponed once and will take place from February 21 to 25, 2022, for the first time from Monday to Friday. The next R+T will be held in 2024, returning to its traditional cycle.
