This time, Duco takes a closer look at the issue of overheating. This is an issue that has become increasingly prevalent in recent years due to warmer summers and stricter energy requirements. During this webinar, which is part of Duco's Online Sessions, guest speakers Saskia Gabriël (Epacq) and Dirk Stevens (Duco) will discuss how to keep a building cool in a natural way.
Homes are becoming increasingly well insulated due to stricter energy standards. At the same time, summers are getting hotter, increasing the risk of overheating. The challenge in designing a home is shifting from ‘how to heat homes in an energy-efficient way‘ to ’how to keep homes cool in hot periods in an energy-efficient way'. A challenge that Duco is only too happy to take on.

The ventilation specialist does this by making optimal use of natural techniques. To keep homes cool in a natural way, you don't need air conditioners or other energy-consuming devices. A natural and energy-efficient alternative is the use of sun blinds and intensive night cooling. Both have a beneficial effect on the thermal mass and ensure an efficient and energy-efficient reduction of the cooling load.
In the Online Session, Dirk Stevens (Sales Manager at Duco) and guest speaker Saskia Gabriël (Architect, energy consultant, and EPB reporter at Epacq) will be happy to answer all your questions.
What measures can you take against overheating? What is the effect of passive cooling in residential construction? What natural concepts are applicable in stack construction? You can discover this and much more on March 10 through various practical case studies.
The webinar will take place online on Wednesday, March 10, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and counts as one hour of continuing education. The event is free, but registration is required. For more information and to register, please visit duco.eu/webinar-overheating
