The VertiTex II vertical awning has a particularly small cassette that is available in both round and square versions. The screen also has a simplified assembly, according to Weinor. "With its unobtrusive yet modern design, the VertiTex II is suitable as a uniform awning for the entire house," said Weinor sales manager Benelux Martijn Westenbrink.
"Whether it is a patio canopy, pergola awning, window, balcony or conservatory, the VertiTex II proves to be a true all-rounder thanks to its compact design, numerous variants and versatile protection from prying eyes and from the weather," Westenbrink believes. "The smart solution with its powerful design protects against blinding sunlight, heating up terrace and interior spaces and against prying eyes. Thanks to suitable guide rails, new fastening techniques and the particularly small shape of the cassette, the VertiTex II is also suitable for more challenging situations, such as installation in recesses in the facade or the day edges of windows."
The VertiTex II has an extremely small cassette, even at large widths and for a variety of applications. Thanks to the patented Weinor Opti-Flow system, which prevents deflection of the shaft and ensures optimal fabric positioning, fabric widths of up to 6 m are possible. The VertiTex II's small fabric shaft is floating and yields when the fabric is unrolled. As a result, the axis is supported across the entire width of the awning and does not bend, which Weinor says ensures that the fabric position is always optimal.
Self-supporting mounting of the cassette, without consoles but only by means of a guide rail, is possible at widths of up to 2.5 m. "This allows the vertical blinds to be installed even in the smallest recesses," Westenbrink said. "This makes the VertiTex II suitable for any installation situation and particularly attractive as a replacement product and for modifications to existing systems."
The vertical blinds can be operated with the Weinor BiConnect remote control and can also be incorporated into Somfy's smart home system. Depending on what the end customer desires, a wired version is also available.
Every facade and terrace has its own characteristics in terms of appearance, construction method and orientation. This is why Weinor has three different techniques available for guiding the fabric of a screen. In the zip and rail variants, the bottom rail is supported on rotating bearings and fixed in the guide rail by means of glides. This allows the vertical blinds to be safely extended and retracted even in windy conditions. Weinor's cable and rail variants can withstand loads up to wind force 5 (up to 10.8 m/s), the zip variant even up to wind force 6 (up to 13.9 m/s). "Therefore, these screens do not have to be raised immediately in stronger winds," Westenbrink observes.
Weinor offers a large selection of fabrics to allow very different (color) designs of a vertical awning. A separate fabric collection is available for the VertiTex II with 'screens by weinor'. It offers a choice of high-quality fabrics in four different designs, including robust fiberglass screens. The type of fabric determines air permeability and the extent to which (excessive) heating of interior spaces is prevented.
VertiTex II is equipped with a simplified fixing system for the cassette. In this, the cassette is hooked into the wall console and secured by the guide rail. From a width of 2.6 m, the center console can be adjusted using a screw to compensate for any sagging of the cassette and mounting tolerances. The covers of the cassette can be fixed very easily at the push of a button. The power supply cable can be concealed behind one of these covers, guaranteeing quick installation since screwing is not necessary.
