"We are launching the long-awaited SkyRoll solar shading system, a modern and functional solution that has been very well thought out down to the smallest technical details."

Screens are extremely functional, notes Grela. They are therefore widely used in both public buildings and residential construction. "The main advantage of this type of sun protection is the protection of rooms from intensive sunlight, through the use of technical fabrics. In addition, they protect the interior from unwanted views, while maintaining the view to the outside. In addition, they also provide effective protection against light pollution from incoming sunlight, minimizing glare in screens, for example."

"By carefully selecting the fabric, screens can give each construction project a unique character," Grela continued. "Don't forget that a zipscreen system can also serve as insect protection, effectively protecting rooms from nuisance." Aluprof's product offering includes three screen systems. They are the SkyRoll Zip, the SkyRoll Classic and the SkyRoll Eco, which differ from each other mainly in the structural details.
The SkyRoll ZIP is a latest-generation product designed for sun protection in rooms with large glass surfaces. As the name suggests, the fabric in this system is fixed by means of zippers in the specially designed, two-part guides. The awning fabric is therefore tightly stretched and resistant to wind gusts. It also seals well, eliminating light gaps and preventing insects from entering.
The SkyRoll ZIP is available in in-wall, surface-mounted and front-mounted versions. Depending on the chosen product variant, the range includes surface-mounted elements made of aluminum sheet, PVC or extruded aluminum. Use of the latter material ensures durability and sturdiness for years of use and allows painting in any RAL color and matching of the blinds to the window frames or building facade. Unlike other products of this type available on the market, the SkyRoll Zip is equipped with a telescopic assprop. "This ensures easy and quick assembly and disassembly of the system and easy accessibility in case of repair and maintenance," Grela said.
The SkyRoll Classic is the most popular system in Aluprof's family of screen awnings. It is a zipperless system intended for use in public buildings as well as in modern residential construction. "This product also perfectly reduces the amount of incident solar radiation without depriving the user of natural daylight and provides optimal protection against overheating," notes Grela.
This sun protection system is also available in flush-mounted, surface-mounted and adaption versions and - depending on the product variant chosen - also includes construction elements made of aluminum sheet, PVC or extruded aluminum, as are also used for the SkyRoll Zip. "This is very important for manufacturers because it allows most parts or components, such as guides, winding tubes or load beams to be used for both systems and thus warehouse inventories can be optimized," Grela said. This solution also features a telescopic holder for the winding tube, which helps dealers with quick assembly and disassembly and provides easy - non-invasive - access during repair and maintenance. Incidentally, this holder can also be used with Aluprof shutters.
SkyRoll Eco is an economical solution for less demanding situations. "This product is perfect for buildings that need permanent sun protection, as well as balconies, arbors or pergolas," Grela believes. A characteristic feature of this screen is its manual operation with spring system. This incorporates the intuitive AluClick mechanism for easy lowering and raising of the screen with little effort. To close the screen, it is enough to gently click the bottom edge.
The SkyRoll Eco is available as a front and recessed screen. Depending on the chosen product variant, the range again includes construction elements made of aluminum sheet, PVC or extruded aluminum. In the case of the SkyRoll Eco, the fabric is fixed in a special guide rail, which eliminates light gaps and keeps out insects. The bottom bar is the same as in the MKT screen system, so that stock positions can be optimized. This screen system also uses the previously mentioned telescopic holder for the winding tube, with all its advantages. As with the Zip and Classic versions, this holder can also be used for shutters, in which the tube SW40 is used or - with adapters - also with the SW50 and SW60 versions.
"Today, manufacturers are looking for solutions that are not only easy to prefabricate, but also universal in terms of details, so that they can optimize warehouse inventories and thus save costs," Tomasz Grela observes. "The SkyRoll system is then the perfect choice. Many construction elements, such as guides, shafts and bottom slats can be used for all chosen variants. And what is also very important: some accessories are even compatible with the roller shutter systems offered by Aluprof."
