New Luxaflex® M-Screen Ultimetal® protects against sun and heat in the office

Luxaflex®^®, market leader in window coverings, introduces the new innovative M-Screen Ultimetal^®cloth. This window covering eliminates external factors such as light glare on a laptop screen or changing temperatures due to its metallized backing. For example, the M-Screen Ultimetal^®, from Hunter Douglas subsidiary Mermet, ideally suited for offices and public buildings.

Highest light reflection
The M-Screen Ultimetal^® cloth is composed of 36 percent fiberglass and 64 percent vinyl and has a metallized backing. This reflects 83 percent solar energy, preventing unwanted overheating of the room. Because of its high light reflection, this fabric also offers extensive energy savings in the form of reducing air conditioning in the summer and heating in the winter.

Filtered light
For a productive working environment, a pleasant temperature and the right degree of light with a sharp view to the outside are important. The fabric of the M-Screen Ultimetal^® contains tiny holes for adequate light penetration and also ensures quality transparency. Light incidence is regulated by the fabric, filtering up to 97 percent of light rays. This filtering of solar rays allows total control of light glare on screens in an office, for example.

Suitable for public buildings
Through the use of fiberglass and vinyl in the M-Screen Ultimetal^® cloth, a reduction in energy consumption can be achieved. This makes this window covering ideal for projects that need to meet high EPC requirements and sustainable certification systems such as BREEAM-NL and LEED in (public) buildings. In addition, this fabric is fire retardant, easy to maintain and water repellent.

The same effect as outdoor blinds
That awnings shouldn't just hang outside to prevent overheating in indoor areas, Luxaflex® proves.^® with the M-Screen Ultimetal^® cloth. In fact, this window covering is mounted inside and meets equal standards as outdoor blinds with the same function. Due to its mechanistic resistance, this fabric hangs very well-shaped in the window frame and looks more solid than more robust PVC fabrics.
