Growing demand for quality blinds in Benelux

The sun protection market was once again in full swing this year. At the Serge Ferrari Group, a specialist in durable composite materials, innovation and expansion were the focus. With the second edition of the Soltis Tour - a European Roadshow - the French company is putting a strong focus on strengthening relationships and promoting its latest product developments in the sun protection sector. In addition, Marcos Santos took office in June of last year as the new Key Account Manager Solar Protection for the Benelux.

Marcos Santos, who began his career in the solar shading industry with Somfy and a supplier of solar shading components, among others, has now been with Serge Ferrari for four months. "It felt like the right move from the first moment," Santos said. He sees strengthening customer relationships in the Benelux and introducing innovative products as key focal points. Santos: "The Benelux market is a core area for Serge Ferrari. Here we notice a growing demand for quality sun protection, despite less favorable market factors."

With products such as the classic Soltis 7635 and the innovative Veozip, Serge Ferrari responds to diverse needs within the market. Designed and developed to meet the needs of different systems on the market, Veozip offers unique properties in terms of thermal and visual comfort, according to the company. "Regardless of which of the 15 trendy colors in the range is chosen, Soltis Veozip offers the best thermal performance (gtot value between 3 and 5%) and excellent visual comfort (visible transmission between 4 and 8%), while maintaining outward vision," said Santos.

Soltis Tour: platform for innovation and collaboration

One of the spearheads for this year and next year is the second edition of the Soltis Tour, which has been traveling through Europe since September and also visits the Benelux. This international roadshow runs until February 2025 and has sixty stops in thirteen countries. During this tour, installers, manufacturers and clients can learn about the company's latest developments and services.

On Feb. 14, the Benelux stage is scheduled at host Guillaume Janssen, a day that Santos says offers plenty of opportunities. "The Soltis Tour is an ideal opportunity to showcase our products and innovations in practice, but also to further expand our network and share knowledge with partners in the sector," he explains. This year, two trucks will support the tour, doubling the number of stops and allowing Serge Ferrari to meet more professionals than ever before. "The goal is to reach 9,000 installers and clients." Permanent partners of the tour are Dorey (with Miller Weldmaster, Mitec Enginy and Solar Edge), Nice and Plastex.

Innovations and new colors

For 2025, Serge Ferrari also has other plans. In addition to expanding the color range of various cloths, the company is working on a new cloth that should revolutionize the market for indoor blinds. "We are proud of this innovation, which we are presenting during the Soltis Tour - European Roadshow," explains Santos. "It will be an important addition to our portfolio and offer new possibilities for indoor spaces."
