The innovative screen, which is particularly suitable for public places with strict hygiene requirements, is the first on the market with a fast-acting and long-lasting antiviral and antibacterial effect, designed to effectively combat the spread of corona-like viruses.
Antimicrobials were already a valued part of the Coulisse collection. These fabrics combat the spread of microbes that can cause discomfort or disease. Faced with the dangers of a new virus circulating around the world, Coulisse is taking new initiatives to ensure that its window covering solutions continue to contribute to indoor health and safety.
Leftover residues of infectious virus particles pose a clear health risk, especially in public places where people come and go. Research shows that viruses of the coronavirus family can remain on materials for days. One of the few positive aspects of corona is that the virus can be destroyed relatively easily. Tests with the SARS-CoV-2 virus on Coulisse's antiviral screen show that 99 percent of coronavirus particles are inactivated within 16 seconds.

The new screen fabric, with openness factor of 5 percent, is part of the Screen Essential 3000 series. Screen Essential is a PVC- and polyester-based fabric with a 2×2 Panama weave. It conforms to OEKO-TEX and is free of VOCs, phthalates, formaldehyde and heavy metals, making it safe for direct skin contact. Equipped with both antimicrobial and antiviral properties, the new screen provides maximum protection against pathogens.
Like the other Coulisse screens with antimicrobial properties, the new antiviral screen is particularly suitable for public places with strict hygiene requirements. Of course, it also provides peace of mind in domestic settings and places where children play. As part of the Screen Essential 3000 series, it is available in a width of 250 centimeters and in 6 timeless colors ranging from white and beige to gray and black tones.
