In modern architecture, large glass surfaces that let in abundant daylight and provide transparency are an important trend. At the same time, demand is rising for effective sun protection that keeps the interior pleasantly cool even on hot days, still lets in plenty of light and blends beautifully with the building envelope. With the external, textile sun protection systems from heroal, the requirements in residential and commercial construction can be met in various ways.
The sun protection systems heroal VS Z Solar combines the advantages of an innovative zipscreen system with an integrated solar drive. The sun protection system is available in two versions. In the version with heroal motor (10 Nm) and integrated battery in combination with a 54 mm aluminum shaft in the 85 mm shutter box, maximum element sizes of 2,000 x 2,200 mm can be produced. Sizes of 3,000 x 3,000 mm can be realized in combination with a 63 mm steel shaft in a 95 mm roller shutter box. This is controlled wirelessly via remote control or a wall switch. Thanks to the innovative zipper system, the heroal VS Z with integrated solar-powered motor is particularly wind-resistant (up to 145 km/h).
Shading systems from heroal offer maximum design freedom. For zip guide solutions, the aluminum guide rails are finished with the highly weather-resistant heroal hwr powder coating. Thereby almost all RAL colors and Les Couleurs® Le Corbusier® are available. For a more striking look (e.g. wood, concrete, rust) the coating process heroal SD can be chosen.
The different types of textiles also offer numerous design possibilities. With more than 250 standard variants available, both aesthetic and functional shading solutions can be created. Semi-transparent screen fabrics provide protection from the sun while still allowing natural daylight to pass through. When complete blackout is desired, opaque fabrics block up to 100% of UV radiation.
Because the cloths are made of coated glass fiber or tensile polyester, depending on the type of textile chosen, they are water and dirt repellent, air permeable, UV and mold resistant. Thus, they are a durable solution with a long service life and reliable functionality. PVC-free fabrics are also available upon request.
