In 2024 TenCate Outdoor Fabrics strengthened its position as a major player in the sun protection industry, partly thanks to innovative projects and customized solutions. An example of this is the cooperation with Simon Lévelt, a well-known coffee and tea merchant with more than 60 branches. This project illustrates TenCate Outdoor Fabrics' ability to respond to specific customer needs with advanced printing technology.
Simon Lévelt was looking for sun protection that perfectly matched their new corporate identity, especially a unique green color. This proved a challenge for many manufacturers, but TenCate Outdoor Fabrics was able to fulfill this wish thanks to their digital printing capabilities. "We matched the color perfectly, something that proved impossible elsewhere," says Ekkehard Kamp, sales manager at TenCate Outdoor Fabrics. The cooperation with ALFA Zonwering, which specializes in catering businesses, made it possible to implement these custom-made awnings in several Simon Lévelt branches. In time, all branches will be fitted with sun blinds in this color.
The coffee and tea merchant chose TenCate Outdoor Fabrics because of its ability to supply relatively small quantities of custom fabric. While other manufacturers only offer this from 2,500 meters onwards, TenCate Outdoor Fabrics can supply customized solutions from as little as 100 meters. This makes the company attractive to customers looking for personalized solutions without buying huge volumes. "We offer customers the opportunity to stand out from the competition even with small orders," Kamp adds.
With the positive results of 2024 under its belt, TenCate Outdoor Fabrics is looking confidently to the future. The company will continue to focus on customization and innovation to distinguish itself in the market. "We are committed to increasing visibility in the Netherlands and exploring new markets abroad," concludes Kamp. The next trade show to feature the company will be the new Zonwering Expo, which will take place in Houten in February 2025.
