Serge Ferrari Group has developed a technology to permanently eliminate coronaviruses from the surface of coated tissues

Serge Ferrari Group announces that it has successfully developed a technology that reduces the presence of coronaviruses on the surface of coated tissues, 15 minutes after contact, by 95%. After one hour, this is as much as 99.5%.

The results were validated by Virhealth, a laboratory specializing in antiviral and antibacterial testing.

This technology, along with other preventive measures, can help make surfaces safer in public or high-traffic places, including hospitals, schools, daycare centers, as well as offices, stores, cultural institutions, leisure facilities and public transportation.

A technology based on silver particles

Based on the properties of silver particles, the R & D teams of Serge Ferrari developed a technology that can eliminate coronaviruses. Several of the Group's existing products were evaluated and ways to prevent coated fabrics from becoming reproductive sources for viruses and bacteria were investigated. The goal was to develop tissues that greatly reduce the likelihood and rate of infection.

"We identified the antiviral properties of silver to develop innovative formulations for coating our tissues. The effectiveness of these formulas was verified by the independent laboratory Virhealth. This new technology will allow Serge Ferrari Group to market coated fabrics with antiviral properties for various applications:

- modular structures for patient care (field hospitals, tents for rapid deployment) or for temporarily increased storage capacity in hospitals

- interior decoration (partition screens, covering for hospital room windows)

- medical applications (washable mattresses, stretchers, upholstery for medical furniture, etc.)

- individual protective equipment (jumpsuits)

In addition to these applications, Serge Ferrari's technology can also make a valuable contribution in public or high-traffic places, including schools, nurseries, offices, stores, hospitality venues, during events and on public transportation.
