The B160XL: Stylish entry into the world of slat roofing
Brustor B160 XL slat roof is the perfect entry-level model.

The B160XL: Stylish entry into the world of slatted roofs

Since March 2024, the B160XL has been part of the Brustor range: a slat roof developed as an entry-level model for consumers looking for a quality, stylish patio enclosure, but with a more accessible price tag.

Sleek design, typical Brustor appearance

The B160XL is a versatile pergola with a sleek and elegant design, with no visible screws or patio attachment. In doing so, the model stays true to the acclaimed Brustor look and feel, which is also reflected in the premium models.

Sales manager for the Netherlands, Nico Roose, explains, "With the B160XL we offer an attractively priced alternative within our range of slat roofs, without sacrificing style or quality. Thanks to the connected gutter system without caulking, rainwater is neatly drained. The motor is subtly concealed in the frame. Installation is also simplified and completely silicone-free."

Smart features and customizability

With a maximum size of 6 x 4.5 meters, the B160XL is suitable for various applications: as an extension, freestanding or even integrated into an existing structure. In terms of construction, it is reminiscent of the popular B200(XL), although there is one important difference: "The B160XL is always installed with surface-mounted screens. For consumers who do not want integrated ZIP screens, this is a perfect solution. Those who do want to go for integrated screens are better off choosing the B200(XL)," Roose said.

Like the other Brustor solutions, this model is fully customizable:

  • Choice of a wide range of RAL colors;
  • Slats in standard finish or wood look;
  • Various lighting options such as LED slats, spotlights in the frame or up/down lighting on the channel (dimmable white or RGB);
  • Heating elements;
  • Mounted screens or wooden sliding walls as additional protection from sun, wind or view

Positive feedback from the network

The introduction of the B160XL was enthusiastically received by the dealer network, which sees the model as a logical and welcome response to the market demand for accessible, modular slat roofs with Brustor quality. "We find that this pergola responds perfectly to the needs of consumers who want comfort and design, but without unnecessary extras," says Roose. "After more than a year on the market, we can say: this is exactly what the market needed."

Looking to the future

Brustor continues to innovate. Several more new products are planned for the fall of 2025 and the first half of 2026. "We look forward to presenting some great innovations again at the next edition of Polyclose," concludes Roose.
