NEW IRISUN BLOCKOUT CANVAS

Italian manufacturer of awning and outdoor systems KE Outdoor Design - part of the BAT Group - has exclusively included Giovanardi's special Irisun Blockout cloth in its product range. Giovanardi is an internationally operating manufacturer of high-performance fabrics. According to KE CEO Simone Mazzon, Irisun Blockout is a real innovation in the range of awning fabrics available worldwide, as it is the first PVC-free fabric on the market.

Simine Mazzon describes Irisun Blockout as a light and bright-looking technical textile that stands out in particular for not having the typical stiffness that characterizes traditional PVC-coated fabrics. This makes it particularly suitable for overhead and lower awnings for canopies, for pergolas with retractable or folding roofs, as well as for articulated and drop awnings and vertical awnings. "This combination of elegance and performance guarantees optimal sun protection - both in terms of light nuisance as well as heat protection - on the one hand and, on the other, unprecedented design possibilities for outdoor spaces!"

The Irisun Blockout canvases are two-tone, available in six different shades, with both sides featuring corresponding tone-on-tone and two-tone contrasting shades. "With this, countless combinations can be made to match any conceivable architectural context," said Simone Mazzon. "For example, the two-tone canvases offer the possibility of opting for a darker color on the outside to create color uniformity with the surroundings if desired, and a lighter color on the inside to keep the living space light and bright. The use of light colors on the inside also prevents the glare typical of lighter colored acrylic fabrics."

Irisun Blockout also has a number of practical features that make it very attractive, according to Mazzon. "The outside is acrylic, the inside polyester with a waterproof blackout membrane that forms a shield against light and rain. Furthermore, the fabric has antibacterial and antifungal properties. Its qualities make it ideal for use on pergolas, awnings and vertical blinds."

Irisun Blockout fabric is only available for KE shade systems.
