Coulisse is proud to announce that Motionblinds, Coulisse's smart window decoration brand, is now officially integrated with Home Assistant, the leading open-source smart home platform. With this partnership, Motionblinds becomes the first smart window coverings brand certified under the "Works with Home Assistant" program, a major milestone in the development of connected window coverings.
Home Assistant allows users to automate and control their smart devices locally - with a focus on privacy and reliability. Thanks to the new integration, Motionblinds' smart motors can now work seamlessly with the Home Assistant ecosystem. This allows users to create smart scenarios in which blinds work together with lighting, temperature control and security. From curtains that open at sunrise to blinds that respond to heat or presence - Motionblinds brings comfort and intelligence to the home environment.

The integration supports a wide range of Motionblinds solutions, including smart motors for roller blinds, folding blinds, honeycomb and pleated blinds, Venetian blinds, vertical blinds and curtains. Eve Motionblinds motors equipped with Matter and Thread technology, developed by Coulisse in collaboration with Eve Systems, can be linked directly to Home Assistant. Motors with Bluetooth or 433MHz technology are supported via the new Motionblinds Matter Bridge (CM-55), ensuring full compatibility within the range.
All certified Motionblinds motors meet Home Assistant's stringent requirements for local performance, interoperability and long-term support. This collaboration reflects a shared vision of Coulisse and the Home Assistant community: to achieve an open, secure and user-friendly smart home.
"As both a Coulisse engineer and an active Home Assistant user, it is great to see Motionblinds becoming part of such an engaged and progressive community," shares Jerry Wansing, Smart Home Engineer at Coulisse. "This integration is a big step toward truly open and seamless smart window coverings."
