These days, terraces and balconies are transformed into an extra living space with great regularity. People then want to have the same comfort there as inside. The Swiss manufacturer Sunparadise AG has been developing winter and summer garden systems - the HAWAII 80, 60, 40 and the PRIME patio roof - that provide a solution for this for years. To allow the user to enjoy themselves without being bothered by rain, wind or cold, these systems can be completely enclosed, including with the GSW 17, a transparent glass sliding wall with individually sliding wings. For proper protection from excessive sunlight, these glass walls can be combined with ShadingPanel 17 sliding shutters.
People who want to enjoy their patio canopy, summer garden or loggia all year round will need to integrate some additional elements, says Sunparadise sales manager for the Netherlands Lucas Bouwers. "For example, all of our patio roofs can be enclosed with all-glass, sliding, folding and stacking walls. Our all-glass sliding walls VG15 and VG17 are based on extremely compact and lightweight aluminum profile systems and are available in 2-, 3-, 4- or 5-track versions, the VG 17 also with 6 tracks. They are available in various heights from 1500 to 2600 millimeters and widths up to 11200 millimeters. The GSS 17 is a hard glass sliding and stacking wall with 2 to 23 individually sliding sashes with dimensions of up to 900 x 2700 millimeters, held and guided at the top and bottom in a narrow aluminum profile."
With the GSW 17, Sunparadise has introduced a transparent glass wall solution with individually parallel sliding sashes that can be easily operated thanks to integrated carriers, explains sales manager for Belgium Dirk Larivière. "This system is available in a 2-, 3-, 4-, 5- or 6-track version and equipped with 1 to 12 sashes in safety glass - ESG - of 8 or 10 millimeters. The sashes are up to 1600 millimeters wide and 2700 millimeters high and weigh up to 85 kilograms. They can slide to the left or right or open to two sides from the center. This sliding wall can also be mounted in a corner arrangement between 70 and 180 degrees. Wing overlaps of 40 millimeters and vertical brush profiles provide protection from environmental influences such as noise, wind and driving rain. Electronically polished and hardened rollers and wear-resistant running rails in stainless steel result in easy and smooth guidance of even the largest sashes. The running rail and base profile provide controlled drainage to the outside."
"The GSW 17 sliding glass wall can be supplied with a number of optional elements that further optimize installation," Brouwers hooks in. "For example, sill profiles with a 42-degree slope ensure an obstacle-free through and transition. Since they are already factory adapted to the system, they can be easily installed on site. For a seamless transition to the garden, a bottom connection profile can be integrated on the bottom rail. In addition to the standard closures, optional closures with profile cylinder or profile cylinder cutout in natural or black anodized finish are available for installations with 10-millimeter glass. The first opening sash can also be locked into the wall profile and secured with a lock at height."
"To block excessive sunlight, a Sunparadise sliding glass wall VG 17 or GSW 17 can also be combined with our ShadingPanel 17 sliding shutters," Larivière says. "They are equipped with aluminum slats that are integrated into the frame with a 45-degree slope. The shutters are between 500 and 1200 millimeters wide and between 800 and 2700 millimeters high. They are available in different versions depending on the installation and the number of sashes. The sliding hatches fit perfectly into the ceiling and bottom profile of the wall system, so that an installation with or without sliding hatches takes about the same amount of time. These shutters can also be used separately from the glass walls as a standalone element."
