'ROMA swears by rolling doors'

Roma has two low-ceiling doors under the names Gecco® and Silento® in addition to the Rolento® roller shutter door. "The leaf of these garage doors is manufactured with slats, with which, of course, ROMA has been known for many years because of their application in our high-performance roller shutters," said director Toon van Osta of ROMA Benelux. 

With the Rolento®, Roma provides a roller door that keeps the ceiling of the space behind it clear, substantially increasing the storage capacity of that space. With the Rolento® roller door system, door sizes up to 5.6 m wide or 5.2 m high can be realized. 

The Gecco® and Silento® garage doors differ from a Rolento® in that the slats do not roll up in a cabinet, but slide along the ceiling. The Gecco® can be realized with a top space of only 53 mm. The maximum width is 3.25 m and the height 2.5 m. The garage doors are available in twelve standard colors for the slats and three standard colors for the aluminum frame (guides and cabinet). 

As with most ROMA products, the roller doors are available in almost any RAL color besides the standard colors. The slats can also be provided with Renolit foil on the outside. These films are also used for plastic window frames and can be supplied similar to almost any type of wood. 

The entire ROMA roller door program is delivered ready to plug in. This means that the mechanic does not have to adjust anything, beyond the final adjustments of the motor. Both hand transmitters are already taught in and any photocell and electronic bottom frame are automatically recognized and programmed. 

Toon van Osta emphasizes that ROMA delivers exclusively in accordance with European legislation. Thus, a roll-off safety device is standard in a roller door, and an automatic door always includes a bottom frame safety device.
