As one of the leading European players in the high-end outdoor design sector, known for its constant pursuit of excellence in creating sustainable wellness solutions, Gibus is now expanding one of its most innovative product lines - the Click Zip vertical awning - with a new, high-value version that includes green motors and photovoltaic technology. We spoke about this with Alessio Bellin, CEO of the well-known company.
"The Click Zip screens," explains Alessio Bellin, "are designed to protect windows and glass surfaces from the sun. They are highly efficient shading solutions enhanced by the exclusive zip technology, which ensures maximum lateral tension, allowing the fabric to protect the glass from solar radiation and keep heat out. This leads to energy savings and improves indoor thermal comfort. In addition, these models utilize the patented Mag Lock system, which uses magnets to exploit the physical principles of attraction and repulsion between poles. This not only ensures high vertical tension of the fabric, but also provides resistance to wind up to Class 6.

The Click Zip, the CEO continued, can be operated manually or automatically, thanks to motors integrated into the roll-up tube. Among the automatic solutions, we have now integrated models with 24-volt motors and photovoltaic kits - accessories that further enhance the product's performance in several areas. The most interesting advantage is that, once fully integrated, the system operates electrified but completely independent of the household power grid. This is beneficial for both energy consumption and installation. No cables need to be drawn to the screen, which is often a complex job that can lead to aesthetic problems and unsightly external cabling. In some cases, cabling is even impossible, leaving only manual operation. In contrast, our solution with photovoltaic technology allows the system to be automated and electrified, linked to all sensors, with smart automation and accessories."
The full power autonomy of the new Click Zip screens is made possible by a long-lasting battery that, in the prolonged absence of sunlight, can perform up to 50 full cycles and can also be recharged via an excternal USB-C connection.

These Gibus screens feature a 24-volt motor, which operates on low voltage and has several remarkable features. "First," confirms Alessio Bellin, "these motors are very quiet and offer excellent acoustic comfort, which is important because the Click Zip are installed next to windows and their movement is therefore audible from inside. Second, it is worth mentioning how the fabric moves when driven by these motors: the speed is not constant; it is slow at the beginning and end of the cycle and accelerates in the middle, giving a sense of advanced technology. Finally," concludes the CEO, "the obstacle detection system is another premium feature of great value."
