Gibus is having a memorable year (again)!

Internationalization and new products and training facilities

The Gibus Group, which stands for the Italian experience of outdoor living, has recently gone through a process of internationalization, making the company one of the leading players in the European outdoor living sector. This process has also significantly strengthened Gibus' presence within the Benelux. 

With more than 40 years of experience and expertise and continuous growth, the Gibus Group is today one of the top players in the field of high-quality outdoor living for both the private and business - hospitality - markets in Europe. 

International expansion

Gibus, which has its headquarters in Padua, in northeastern Italy, has focused on international expansion in recent years. This has initially taken shape through the creation of two European subsidiaries, namely Gibus Deutschland GmbH, and Gibus France Sas. 

A manifestation of the Gibus Group's willingness to invest further in growth in international markets is the establishment of subsidiary Gibus NL BV in Zwolle, about which Z&R reported extensively in issue 2 of 2023: "Parmesan and French fries go together just fine! The Dutch branch, headed by general manager Martijn Westenbrink, enables the Gibus Group to present itself and provide service in the Netherlands and the Dutch-speaking part of Belgium. Obviously a huge advantage in dealing with clients and relations, allowing the values of "Made in Italy" and the Gibus brand to be better highlighted. 

The new Gibus branch in Zwolle includes a large 270-square-meter showroom and extensive training facilities, which can be used not only by Gibus customers from Flanders and the Netherlands, but also from northern Germany. The space is characterized by an aesthetic showroom concept. Here visitors can view the latest news, technological developments, performance and design of the various Gibus solutions. These include awnings, Gibus ZIPscreens and the wide range of (bioclimatic) patio coverings that Gibus has in its product range. 

LEINER

In addition to these products, customers in the showroom in Zwolle can also become acquainted with the wide range of products offered by LEINER GmbH, an important German company in the outdoor sector. Founded in 1839, it can therefore boast almost two centuries of history! LEINER GmbH was acquired in the second half of 2022 by Gibus Group, which now links the sale of its own product range to the varied LEINER product range that includes awnings, pergolas, glass roofs and the patented SUNRAIN® system. The latter is a particularly solid and durable system to protect - as the name suggests - from the sun, but also from the rain. Thanks to SUNRAIN® products, LEINER has been the market leader in the specific hospitality segment of rainproof awning systems for many years.

Customer Support

To its range of technologically and aesthetically relevant and high-quality products, Gibus couples equally high-quality support for its customers. Part of this is high-level training courses that the company offers to anyone for whom they may be relevant, such as dealers and mechanics. Gibus periodically organizes training courses in the Netherlands that focus both on the characteristic technical aspects of the various Gibus products and on commercial aspects, such as customer approach, negotiation methods and the management of a Gibus showroom and dealership.

Gibus Group continuously invests in research and development to develop and implement increasingly advanced technologies, all to enhance people's quality of life and ensure their lasting well-being.
