HAROL launches completely new range of articulated awnings

“Smarter. Simpler. Sustainable.” Under this heading, HAROL is introducing a new range of articulated awnings after two years of sustained development. As a specialist and trendsetter in sun protection, HAROL is thus setting a new standard in the market. It gives the consumer more choice in design and features, while simplifying the system for the installer. Under the motto “less is more,” the high models in the collection were fitted with unique Invisibly Wired arms, an exclusive and very luxurious finish in which the steel cables are no longer visible.

Articulated awnings have been one of the most proven and popular home sun protection solutions for decades. The system provides shade on the terrace, as well as greater comfort behind the glass. Over the years, HAROL systematically developed the range in terms of aesthetics, technology and architectural integration. With the new collection, launched at the Polyclose trade fair in January 2020, HAROL is now setting a new milestone.

We also invested in arms that can be easily assembled, which opens the door to international markets.”

Three custom collections: Minimal, Elegant and Curved

By style, the range was divided into three collections:

• Minimal - sleek and modern, blends completely into the home:
  • Lux (available from spring 2020)
  • Roxy (available from fall 2020)
• Elegant - elegant curves (available from spring 2020):

• Curved - curved design (available from spring 2020):

Lux

Each of the collections is divided into different versions, so you can put together your blinds according to style and functional needs like a menu. For example, you can choose recessed, ceiling or wall mounting, with an open, semi-open or closed box. There are also numerous options in terms of features, such as dimmable LED lighting in the box, arms or front frame. With the 2 high end models Cadiz and Lux you can choose between direct or indirect lighting in the cabinet and front frame and a vario-volant up to 2m extension is among the possibilities. An extensive collection of high-tech acrylic fabrics is available on the entire collection which are made in our own workshop.

Praia

 

Smarter: following the market research, a multi-concept was developed, to meet as many needs as possible, both in terms of style choice and ease of use.

Simpler: no 100 screens, but a compact, clear and convenient range, styled according to the HAROL house style, which stands for simplicity and quality.

Sustainable: quality and durability are key. The system was developed and tested to last a lifetime. At the same time, it is a green solution to avoid overheating.

Isabelle Wintmolders: “The new articulated arms were developed and tested for more than 25,000 cycles, or to open and close twice a day for 25 years. The new range meets the required standards for wind class 2 according to EN13561 (speed 7.5-10.4 m/s).
