Meaningful further development for maximum future security
Becker-Antriebe is now offering all SMI drives and the KNX/SMI actuator in the latest certification according to SMI 3.0. By doing so, the company ensures that its products will continue to meet the growing demands of modern building automation in the future.
SMI - the Standard Motor Interface - ensures that all building automation components communicate with each other in one common language. This avoids island systems and enables manufacturer-independent, future-proof planning.
With the update to SMI 3.0, the specifications have been expanded and adapted to the new requirements of digitization. The main advantages at a glance:
The 16-channel KNX/SMI actuator with Bluetooth interface enables quick and easy installation via a free app. Setting the end positions of the actuators is done via a standard SMI setup cable - completely without programming knowledge. In addition, up to 16 drives can be connected in parallel and controlled to the degree.
Since 01.01.2025, only devices according to SMI 3.0 may be put into circulation. Due to the economic conditions, the deadline has been extended to 01.07.2025. Becker is thus optimally prepared and offers its partners the necessary security for future projects.
"With the certification according to SMI 3.0, we underline our ambition to offer our customers state-of-the-art technology that is not only powerful, but also future-proof. With this, our partners are excellently equipped for the upcoming requirements of building automation," explains Marcel Menger, responsible for sales of SMI products at Becker.
