In addition to its well-known offering in exterior blinds, BREL has long been developing advanced motors and control systems for interior blinds. Under the name BREL HOME, the company provides solutions for various types of window decoration, such as pleated blinds, Venetian blinds and roman blinds. Features include ease of use, safety, integration capabilities with Smart Home systems and a focus on sustainability. With the new BJE24Q motor for horizontal pleated blinds, the existing range is now further complemented.
For the motorization of pleated blinds, BREL HOME offers a wide range of motors. For standard applications, the BJEM 24S, BJEM 24D
and BJE24DD available. In addition, solutions have been developed for specific situations. For example, the BJE24TD is suitable for top-down-bottom-up systems. This motor operates without a mechanical stopper and uses electronic endpoints. For slanted windows, the BJE24TR is available, which prevents the fabric from jamming by controlled positioning of the intermediate slat.
New to the range is the BJE24DQ motor, specially developed for horizontal pleated blinds. This solution is particularly suitable for applications in conservatories and skylights. The motor uses an endless cord system, is machine directive compliant, low maintenance and easy to install. Thanks to its bi-directional protocol, the BJE24DQ can be seamlessly controlled with the BREL HOME app.
With the introduction of the Home Box Matter, BREL HOME is responding to the rapidly growing need for universal Smart Home integrations. This extension allows existing bi-directional motors to be directly linked to platforms such as Apple HomeKit, Google Home, Samsung SmartThings and Amazon Alexa.
In addition, the range of Matter-compatible motors is expanding rapidly. These new motors operate without a Home Box, simplifying installation and increasing flexibility. Both 230V motors and battery motors with integrated or external batteries are among the offerings.
For situations where wiring is undesirable, BREL HOME offers solar solutions for indoor blinds. This uses a solar panel on the inside of the window to power the motor. The system is completely wireless and continues to operate reliably even in limited light conditions, such as in winter.
