A recent look at Deponti's social media shows that anything is possible - a canopy on the moon? It seems the company is playing hardball with this thought. Inquiries reveal that it is meant figuratively (for now). Still, this post reflects the ambition of a company that dares to think big while keeping both feet on the ground. Together with Janine van Rijn, Finance director at Deponti, we discuss the evolution of the company's product range.
Zooming deeper into the image from the post, the famous words "A Small Step" stand out. What does Deponti mean by that? Van Rijn: "Our marketing department really knows how to surprise me sometimes with creative angles," she smiles. "But behind those bold expressions is a serious message: they sum up exactly what we stand for as an organization. It shows our growth and ambition - both within the Netherlands and abroad."
Van Rijn continues: "'A Small Step' refers to what we excel at: building strong partnerships for the outdoors. They are small steps, through which we grow together with our partners. That is also immediately the origin of our company."
Every story has a beginning. For Deponti, that's the "Bosco" patio cover. Van Rijn explains, "For a company, it is important to dwell on the shoulders you stand on. The first chapter for optimal outdoor living is the Bosco. And that chapter is anything but closed. Indeed, it is still our signature dish. And forms the basis for the continued development of our range."
Because, zooming in further on the assortment, you end up with the development of the Pinela collection. "A colleague recently put it aptly: the Pinela is the building block of the future. We have developed a particularly beautiful cubic frame. This allows us to realize a wide range of applications - from slats to glass, freestanding, with large spans and a robust look: everything is possible."

"As we follow the evolution of our outdoor living solutions, we keep returning to our valuable partnerships. They are the eyes through which we understand the market. Their specific needs form the basis for the (continued) development of our products. Together with our R&D team, we are constantly looking at how we can improve, enrich and renew outdoor living."
Dissecting the conversation with Van Rijn, we discover that there is a strong philosophy behind it from the very first chapter. A company that opts for a personal approach. Knows how to box the wishes of their partners for each other. And keeps innovating constantly. The mission to the moon? To continue building powerful partnerships. In order to offer the best at home. That is the story of Deponti.
