Sliding and tilting louvers in one system

As in the private sector, the number of projects with slat roofs for the hospitality industry continues to rise, Nieuwenhuis notes. "CORNELS® offers unique slat roofs for this purpose. Take the AVIOR from the CORNELS® Elite series. This roof has slats that can both slide and tilt. With this product, our dealer immediately offers the hospitality entrepreneur the most flexible terrace solution. Moreover, we supply this roof with insulated slats, among other things for noise reduction. All in all, this is a unique product, with which our dealers distinguish themselves on the market." 

Folding roofs

In addition to the demand for slat roofs, the demand for folding roofs still remains very high, notes Nieuwenhuis. "Last year, the number of inquiries for our NAVI CORNELS® Base series was the highest. This sloping folding roof is by far the most popular in our range." 

The modular structure of CORNELS® systems makes it possible to provide even large hospitality terraces with a canopy. "A great example realized with the NAVI CORNELS® Base series is the 35 by 7 meter terrace of the luxury hotel De Heerlickheijd van Ermelo. Glass sliding walls are located both at the front of the canopy placed in front of the facade and inside to serve as partitions. This makes it possible to divide the terrace into three smaller areas or turn it into one large open terrace. The entrepreneur is very pleased with the possibility of being able to host private parties on the terrace as well." 

Nieuwenhuis also finds remarkable the increase in demand for the floating canopy. "A typical hospitality product, imposing and often used for large spans. We regularly have it made of steel, so that there are as few uprights on the terrace as possible. That really is a plus for many hospitality operators!"
