For elumatec from Nieuwerkerk aan de IJssel, the purpose of participating in Polyclose was clear. "Of course you want to receive your existing contacts there, but of course you are also there to make new contacts," explains Managing Director Bas Ladestein. "This edition of Polyclose succeeded to a modest extent." Ladestein is therefore moderately satisfied with the fair. "The visitor numbers are dropping, the facilities of the fair building are moderate and the number of exhibitors is dropping."
As a result, the follow-up to the fair has become perhaps even more important than before. "Actually, during the fair, because of all the hustle and bustle - especially on the middle day - there is not really time to be able to discuss the operation of the machines properly with visitors. So that is something that will have to happen during follow-up visits."
"Customers expect innovation above all, both in terms of the machines and the associated software," Ladestein continued. "In my opinion, we have certainly met those expectations. In fact, we have added a completely new product line to the elumatec range. These are PVC processing machines from SOMECO. We showed a number of them at Polyclose."
