THE NEW POWER-OPERATED INTEGRA® BLACKOUT OUTDOOR BLINDS

The new electrically operated VELUX INTEGRA® blackout blinds (type SSS) combine effective heat protection with blackout. Whereas the already existing VELUX exterior blinds only repel solar heat, this new system combines heat protection with effective blackout. Thus, on sunny days a home stays cooler during the day and the light-proof blackout fabric ensures a better night's sleep at night.

Reduce unnecessary solar heat

Passive solar heating is an advantage on cold winter days, but can lead to overheating in warmer months. VELUX INTEGRA® blackout external blinds reduce solar heat gain on the skylight by over 80%.

Natural and sustainable cooling

Exterior blackout blinds help keep a home cool in a sustainable way. They are thus ready for the upcoming building regulations aimed at reducing the risk of overheating in homes (TOjuli). On a sunny summer day, the blackout exterior blinds keep out unnecessary heat. That effect can be combined with natural cooling, cheaply and energy-efficiently using the cool summer night air to cool the home to acceptable levels.

Easy electric remote control

The modern design of the VELUX INTEGRA® blackout outdoor blinds integrates perfectly into the roof. The blackout outdoor blinds can be mounted from the inside. They are solar powered and can be operated remotely with a pre-connected wall control. Both installation and operation are thus quick and easy.

Automatic healthy indoor climate

For automatic control, ventilation and cooling, INTEGRA® electric shading external blinds can be connected to VELUX ACTIVE with NETATMO. This smarthome automation system with sensors always creates an optimal indoor climate by automatically opening or closing skylights and external blinds. For example, windows are opened when sensors measure that the temperature, humidity and CO2 concentration in the home are increasing. Also, based on the weather forecast, the system determines whether opening or closing skylights and external blinds will improve the indoor climate, always resulting in a healthy indoor environment. In addition, the VELUX ACTIVE app can connect to Apple HomeKit, Google Assistant products and voice assistant Siri for easy control.

The new VELUX INTEGRA ® blackout outdoor blinds are available from summer.
