Markilux introduces format, a rectangular aluminum frame containing a screen fabric to protect you from prying eyes. Format can be used freestanding or attached to a wall or carport. In addition, it can be built into the systems striking and construct as a side element. As a triangle element, it can also be used in markilux's pergola systems.
"We developed markilux format to offer both private and business users the opportunity to protect themselves or their objects from wind and prying eyes," explains markilux Director of Production and Technology Michael Gerling. "The textile-covered panel elements can provide additional privacy and protection on terraces and balconies, in gardens, under glass canopies or at carports."
According to Gerling, format's versatile uses are made possible by the system's many mounting options. "For example, the format frame can be attached to the wall of the house as a side wall for a terrace with adjustable clamp holders and clamp profiles. Two aluminum uprights with cover and steel core stabilize the powder-coated, weather-resistant frame profile on either side."
"In addition, the format panels can be integrated as side elements directly into our canopies in a striking and constructive way," Gerling continues. "But the panels can also be set up solitary as protection from prying eyes or as an optical accent in the open air." For the free-standing variant, format is fixed into the ground via a point foundation with posts.
As an additional option, markilux also offers the element as a triangular variant. For wind protection, it can be attached laterally to the top of the markilux pergola. Because of the statics, a stabilization profile must be fitted between the uprights of the pergola in this case.
Format can be combined with the markilux canopies construct and markant. In the picture the Markant is fitted with format panels.
The new system is available in various sizes. Multiple elements can be arranged in rows and corners with intermediate and corner posts and matching panels as desired. Depending on the mounting, the width of the side elements varies between 30 and 300 centimeters and the height between 30 and 250 centimeters. Markilux offers format in seven standard colors. On request, the elements are also available in other RAL colors, in colors of other systems and in metallic and pearlescent colors or with additional corrosion protection.
Markilux has a wide range of fabrics available for the panel elements. If visibility to the outside must be maintained, a panorama window can also be incorporated. "A patented clamping system ensures that the screen fabric remains properly tensioned on all sides," says Gerling. "The fabric can also be post-tensioned and, if desired, a dealer can quickly change it if an end user desires a different look for their format partition."
"With markilux format, we offer consumers more space to retreat, protection from the wind and from prying eyes and, as a solitary element, a colorful accent for the garden," concludes Michael Gerling.
