Quality facades and assurance in Façades 2022

Façades 2022, the annual publication of the VMRG, the trade association for metal façade construction, has been published and this year it is thicker than ever. An inspiration book with beautiful facades of buildings completed in the past two years. In between the beautiful pictures you can read a number of articles focusing on quality assurance.

Quality facades

Façades 2022 consists of 232 pages of diverse façade construction projects in which VMRG companies have been involved. The book is divided into renovation, non-residential, residential and solar projects. A total of nearly 100 beautiful facades of diverse buildings. Each project indicates whether the project was realized under the VMRG Hallmark. All companies with this quality mark deliver guaranteed quality in the field of facades. They are regularly inspected for this, both in the factory and on the building site. The European tendering directives offer scope to prescribe the VMRG Quality Mark in specifications. Every company with the VMRG Quality Mark is awarded an annual VMRG Quality Mark certificate after the inspections have been passed, so that a client can be certain that the company meets the high standards of the VMRG Quality Requirements and Recommendations.

Quality assurance

Between the different categories of projects, the book includes a number of articles. In this fourteenth edition of the Façades book, quality assurance is the focus of these articles. A logical choice with the new Building Quality Assurance Act on the horizon. For example, you can read that the VMRG has already fully adapted its VMRG Hallmark quality system to this new law that will take effect from 2023. Facade builders with the VMRG Quality Mark are helping their clients by ensuring a thorough facade construction delivery file.
