Unilux presents: 'SOFTFIT IS a unique product where need and knowledge come together'

When installing screens in contemporary window frames, problems increasingly arise when a hork frame is wedged into the rebate of a window opening. The border of the frame gets in the way and the sash of the window can no longer close properly. In the worst case, even the latch can no longer be put straight into the closing position. This is detrimental to the burglary safety of the window and also causes wind and rain penetration. 

Unilux has developed a unique solution to this problem, which suits today's construction as well as the needs of our specialists: SOFTFIT, a clip-in screen with an ultra-thin soft, flexible flange. 

The SOFTFIT profile is composed of an aluminum base, a mesh clamp strip and an ultra-thin, soft-hinged co-extruded edge profile. The corners, now made of soft material, can no longer cause damage during insertion or removal of the screen. The fact that this plastic border is hinged is one of the unique features about the SOFTFIT. An additional advantage of this is that the transport volume of the SOFTFIT is reduced by as much as a third and the risk of transport damage to the border is now a thing of the past. The mesh of the SOFTFIT, which is enclosed between impression strip and aluminum profile, is super-transparent and ultra-tightly stretched and completes the picture. 

Unilux has developed a unique system for all types of window frames - wood, plastic, steel and aluminium. Based solely on the given daylight size, the end-user is offered a suitable solution that does not displace the window and guarantees a good, secure closure. Window handles never have to be adjusted again. With the separately supplied plastic clips, the end user determines the desired clamping without damaging the frame. The aluminum profile can be made in the color of the frame, the plastic profiles are always black. This offers optimum UV resistance and gives the screen a chic appearance.
