The integration of solar energy into shutters and screens has long since ceased to be a niche product. Solar-controlled solar shading continues its unabated growth in both new construction and renovation, driven by the increasing demand for energy-efficient and wireless solutions. For installers, this technology offers clear advantages in terms of installation, maintenance and market potential. Less work, more efficiency for the installer

One of the greatest strengths of solar controlled roller shutters and screens is their easy and quick installation. Because these systems function completely autonomously thanks to solar cells and integrated batteries, there is no need for electrical wiring or major breaking work. That means less preparation time, less site coordination and shorter installation time. "The demand for wireless solutions continues to rise," says Thibaut Suys, CEO of SUYS. "The plug-and-play installation is therefore a big advantage for the renovation market."

The SUYS range: smart solar solutions with Belgian support

SUYS offers a broad portfolio of solar products developed specifically for the professional market. In early 2025, the NEO collection was launched, with innovations in the field of solar energy as a central focus. With the Minirol® and Lockscreen® NEO, the main emphasis is on the sturdiness of the cabinets and slats, allowing the use of small and sleek cabinets even for large sizes. 

Minirol® NEO

The BP42R slat, known for its exceptional sturdiness, is combined with a compact 165 mm shutter box and reaches a height of up to 2,250 mm, driven by the Solar SUYS motor. This makes this reno roller shutter the perfect solution for sliding windows in modern residential buildings.

Lockscreen® NEO

The Solar SUYS motor has also been integrated into the screen range, with application in the 89 mm and 103 mm compact boxes. The 103 mm version is perfect for mounting in a pergola, where the 89 mm box fits nicely into a brick facade, since the standard depth of a facade brick is 90 mm.

Onze NEO-reeks met Solar SUYS motor vormt hierop een waardevolle én budgetvriendelijke aanvulling. We merken dat dit uitgebreide aanbod essentieel is zodat onze distributeurs kunnen inspelen op de uiteenlopende wensen van de eindklant. De opmars van solar gestuurde zonwering is niet meer te stoppen.
