New Gibus Click Zip with 24-volt motors powered by solar panels

Characterized by a high level of solar efficiency, which helps to reduce energy consumption and save energy, Gibus' Click Zip screens are now also available with 24-volt motors with solar panels. The advantage is the ability to enjoy a smart, fully automated, electrical system that operates completely independently of the household power grid.

Technological evolution and sustainability come together in Gibus' latest innovation, which not only improves the appearance of outdoor spaces, but also enhances people's quality of life and optimizes the energy efficiency of buildings: the Click Zip awnings with 24-volt motors with solar panels

As one of the leading players in the high-end Outdoor Design sector in Europe, the Gibus Group is expanding one of its most innovative product lines-the vertical blinds Click Zip-with a new version equipped with green motors with solar panels.

"Click Zip awnings are designed to protect windows and glass surfaces from the sun," explains Martijn Westenbrink, General Manager of the group's Dutch branch. "These solutions offer a high degree of solar protection efficiency, enhanced by the exclusive zip technology that guarantees maximum lateral fabric tension. This blocks solar radiation before it reaches the glass, keeping heat out and improving energy savings and indoor thermal comfort. In addition, these models use the patented Mag Lock system, which uses magnets to not only ensure high vertical fabric tension, but also provides wind resistance up to Class 6."

"Click Zip awnings can be operated manually or automatically, thanks to invisible motors integrated into the roll-up tube. Within the automatic solutions, we have now introduced models with 24-volt motors and with solar panel accessories that further enhance the product's performance on multiple fronts."

"The most interesting advantage is that the shading system, when integrated in this way, is fully electric yet completely independent of the household power grid. This is advantageous not only in terms of energy consumption, but also in terms of installation. No wiring is required to the blinds, a process that is often complicated and can result in unattractive external wiring. In some cases, wiring is not even possible at all, leaving only manually operated structures as an option. In contrast, our solar panel technology allows for a fully automated and electrical system that is connected to all sensors, automation functions and accessories, making the product truly smart."

The overall energy autonomy of the new Click Zip sunshades is guaranteed by a long-lasting battery, which can support up to 50 full cycles even in prolonged lack of sunlight and can be recharged via a USB-C connection if needed.

These Gibus awnings are powered by a 24-volt low-voltage motor with remarkable features. "First, these motors are extremely quiet, which provides additional comfort," Westenbrink concludes. "Second, the movement of the fabric is unique: thanks to electronic programming, the speed is not constant. The movement starts and ends slowly, while it accelerates in the middle. This creates an advanced high-tech experience that enhances the user experience."
