'We are happy to engage with existing and new customers at Polyclose!'

At the upcoming edition of trade fair Polyclose, Betalux is® Marquees Industrie from Bolsward again present with its own stand. In a completely new house style moreover. With more white and a fresher look.

“Last year at Polyclose, we already started putting down the new look and feel,” says Betalux director Michel Wierda. “We had completely designed and built our booth ourselves and we were quite proud of that! Of course we have less budget than the big players in the industry, but we certainly didn't underperform the other exhibitors at the fair. And so next year we will be there again!”

The awning manufacturer uses the trade fair primarily as a meeting place with existing dealers and to engage in conversation with potential future customers. “Betalux® no longer needs to prove itself, people do know who we are and what we can do,” Wierda said. “So we're not going to put all our awnings up at the fair. Of course, you can present all your products, but that's pretty chewy. Polyclose is a meeting place for us. We are going to create a booth with experience and atmosphere. Tables, coffee, drinks, space for a chat. And we will present our updated corporate identity.”

Betalux® has had good experiences with the Belgian trade fair and is therefore looking forward to the 2020 edition. “The first time we participated was in 2010, in the middle of the recession,” Wierda looks back. “Then we scored tremendously well. The same goes for 2012, which was also a good fair year. We skipped the editions after that, in 2014 and 2016. A fair is an expensive affair after all, and because of the recession, sales were a bit lower back then. I did go then as a visitor and had a large bus parked in the parking lot. As if we were just at the fair. In 2018, we were there again ourselves, with a very nice booth. We had put up a six-meter high, rotating pole with awnings attached to it. Standing tall and moving, it worked. It was really an attention-getter.” Together with employee Richard Hamersma, Wierda is already busy working out what the exhibition stand will look like in early 2020. In any case, he already knows one thing for sure: “That pole is going with us again!”
