The ideal garage door: robust, high-performing and aesthetic

The manufacturer Soprofen, for more than 40 years an important player in the field of roller shutters and blinds, has also successfully started designing and producing garage doors since 2007. In 2025, the manufacturer clearly shows its dynamism, with the ambition to become a major player in this market.

Although the new construction market is experiencing a slight downturn, the renovation sector remains a promising niche. In this less favorable context, Soprofen is managing to hold its own. In stark contrast to the tendency to trivialize supply by focusing on price at the expense of creating added value, Soprofen makes it clear that its ambition is to become a major player that creates value. This is done by investing in production resources, expanding the product range in line with market expectations and providing sales support with targeted tools. The approach is resolutely dynamic.  

Expansion and modernization of the production site

In May 2025, Soprofen inaugurated its new production area for garage doors at its Champagney (Haute-Saône) site. The production facility was expanded from 9,000 to 16,000 m² and a new production line was added. The plant was also modernized and automated to make work easier for operators and increase productivity. Henceforth, some 25,000 garage doors roll off the line annually.

Matching offerings 

In addition to the CARSEC Origine model, the sectional garage door that appeals to more and more ‘starters’ looking for an affordable quality garage door, Soprofen offers the CARSEC Pro range. What are the strengths of the premium CARSEC PRO? Really robust, really performant, absolutely aesthetic and fully customizable. 

Valérie Denny Galtier, product manager for garage doors, tells us more: “The CARSEC PRO door is indeed really robust. This robustness is due to the quality materials used, such as, for example, a rail system that is 50% thicker than the market standard. Also worth mentioning is the pretreatment in four layers that guarantees perfect adhesion of the paint in demanding environments such as at sea.”

The CARSEC PRO door is also absolutely performant. “It is a quiet door thanks to the double wheels and the polyamide case that prevent friction between metal and metal. The thermal coefficient up to UD 1.7 is close to that of a front door, while air permeability and wind resistance reach Class 4. Security is optimized by finger pinch protection, automatic obstacle detection and burglar-proof pack security,” said Valérie Denny Galtier.

And aesthetically? The CARSEC Pro is absolutely design and fully customizable, with a choice of 300 RAL colors, well-kept finishes, white-painted hardware for bright white interiors, a wide range of decorative profiles and windows that let in natural light, and the possibility of integrating a wicket door. Moreover, the range covers a wide range of dimensions up to a width of 5500 mm and a height of 3500 mm. And then there are the various motorizations from Somfy or Sommer.

The ultimate plus: easy to install 

The manufacturer has always strived to make the installation of its garage doors as easy as possible. Installation time is kept to a minimum, thanks in particular to the pre-assembled springs and hinges, the pre-drilled panels, the adjustable compression of the panels and the convenient packaging.
