The solar shading industry is changing rapidly. Both in renovation and new construction, the demand is growing for smart, energy-efficient solutions that can be installed quickly and without major works. SUYS, Belgian sun protection manufacturer with more than fifty years of experience, responds to this with the new Minirol® FRONT Solar NEO. This compact front roller shutter combines wireless installation with a favorable price, without compromising on quality or finish.
The Minirol® FRONT Solar is already an established player on the market, but with the introduction of the updated NEO version, it now gets a budget-friendly brother. The Minirol® FRONT Solar NEO works completely autonomously thanks to the integrated Solar SUYS motor and a discreet solar panel on top of the cabinet. No electrical connection is required and therefore no breaking or cutting work. The built-in battery ensures that the roller shutter continues to operate smoothly even during prolonged periods of cloudy weather. For installers, this means easy and quick installation without additional preparation or intervention from other parties.
This plug-and-play approach offers great advantages on the job site. Not only is installation time greatly reduced, coordination with other trades becomes easier.
The technical core of the Solar NEO is the high-performance BP42R slat. This double-walled, foam-filled aluminum slat ensures stable and quiet operation, combined with thermal and acoustic insulation. Thanks to the slim shape of this slat, the shutter blade can be rolled up into a particularly compact case starting at only 137 mm.
That compact construction is more than an aesthetic advantage. Less use of materials also means lower weight and cost, without sacrificing strength or durability. Moreover, the BP42R slat allows widths of up to 3000 mm without an intermediate post, and heights of up to 2850 mm (in case 180 mm). This makes the system particularly suitable for sliding windows or large window surfaces.
For this reason, the 165 mm case is the "best buy" option within the range. Thanks to its combination with the BP42R slat, it can accommodate large widths, making it possible to use the same casing size (165 mm) for both small windows and large sliding windows. This ensures a uniform appearance for all shutters on the home.
The entire development and production of the Minirol® FRONT Solar NEO takes place at SUYS' factory in Nokere. The profiles are extruded and profiled there, painted in the company's own powder coating line and then assembled into a fully tested final product. This vertical integration not only offers maximum control over quality and delivery time, but also allows a wide choice of materials and colors. All RAL colors are available, as are matte and textured finishes.
SUYS' paint line operates fully automatically and is equipped with energy-efficient ovens and a closed water circuit. These technological choices contribute to the sustainability of the production process and ensure a consistent, high-quality finish. Each step in the process is focused on precision, reliability and flexibility for the installer.
At SUYS, sustainability is not a marketing term, but a fundamental principle. In the production halls, there is a strong focus on energy efficiency, including LED lighting and a roof system with 4,500 solar panels that cover the entire energy consumption of the factory. In addition, the company resolutely opts for circular solutions: materials are reused, waste is kept to a minimum and aluminum and steel are recycled to the maximum extent possible. As the first company in Belgium, SUYS has also recently acquired a hybrid supercapacitor battery container, an innovative energy storage solution that fits perfectly within its sustainable strategy.
