Machine builders pool expertise under one roof, customers benefit.

'One Company' - under this new mission and strategy, Italy's Voilàp Group bundles the expertise of leading industrial players elumatec, elusoft, emmegi, emmegisoft, imecon, Keraglass, Mappi International, Motiqa, Pladway, someco, Tekna and Voilàp Digital under one roof. Since July 1, machine builders elumatec and emmegi have worked closely together within the new competence centers Voilàp Netherlands and Voilàp Belgium to guarantee customers in Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg the best service. 

The Voilàp Group, thanks to the contribution of all its companies, has more than 300 years of experience in the design, production and/or sale of technologies for processing profiles in plastic, aluminum and steel, in glass processing and in the development of advanced software solutions. Digital transformation and smart industry are at the core of the Group's focus and strategic direction.

Voilàp introduced 'One Company', it is a mission and strategy through which the multinational further strengthens its emphasis on bundling competencies and creating synergies within its various brands. Thus, customers benefit from a wider product range and from bundled capabilities in sales and service.

Global impact

"As part of this strategy, 'Voilàp Smart Systems (Shanghai) Co., Ltd.' was established in September 2024. This is a merger of elumatec Shanghai and emmegi's sales and service team. Voilàp Ibérica is already active in the Spanish market, and in the South American regions Voilàp Mexico and Voilàp Brasil were established to better serve customers there. Recently Voilàp Scandinavia was also launched," states Bas Ladestein. He had long been managing director of elumatec Benelux BV, the machine builder's subsidiary in Nieuwerkerk aan den IJssel in the Netherlands, and now directs Voilàp Netherlands and, together with Stefaan Barra, Voilàp Belgium. 

"Indeed, since July 1, elumatec and Emmegi Benelux have also joined forces within these new entities. These competence centers are responsible for the sale of advanced products to customers in Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg. They also take technical support and service to an even higher level. For the customers themselves, little will change for the time being. The addresses and contact partners remain the same as before, but they can now enjoy all the benefits that the 'One Company' approach brings."

Leading machine builders

Emmegi and elumatec are both known for their rich history and high-quality machines for processing profiles in plastic, aluminum and thin-walled steel. The history of Emmegi, headquartered near Modena (Italy), dates back to 1970 and elumatec from Mühlacker (Germany) will be exactly a century old in 2028. 

"Today the range of emmegi and elumatec includes an appropriate solution for every customer and application. Voilàp is the one-stop-shop for cross-cut saws, angle presses (one- or four-head), automatically controlled double-miter saws, sawing machines, automated CNC machining centers with or without feed and/or outfeed warehouse, profile carriages, reel carriages, assembly tables and numerous other complementary products, such as software, digital layouts, robotics, etc.," Ladestein explains. "Bringing the two companies together provides a broader product offering, allowing us to offer customers even more targeted solutions that increase efficiency and productivity on the shop floor. This applies to the large multinational, but also to an SME or sole proprietor."
