ROMA: 'Our screens are excellent for patio covers'

"At ROMA, we are certainly not outdoor living specialists," says Toon van Osta of ROMA Benelux, "but we do have products in the range that can be important for pleasant and comfortable outdoor living. I am thinking in particular of our zipscreens."

"The applicability of the screens has only increased, especially now that ROMA has included a narrow guide of 24 mm wide for the zipSCREEN.2 in its range. This guide - and the corresponding bottom frame - incorporate the latest technology from the ROMA glass curtain wall system F50. It has given the zipSCREEN.2 a solid update. Furthermore, numerous drop-out sleeves in the same width as the guides and guides with various drop-out options have been added to the range to allow the screens to fit optimally on almost any canopy." 

Somfy SOLAR

ROMA can also deliver the zipSCREEN.2 with Somfy SOLAR motor, but then the screen is currently limited in sizes, says Toon van Osta. "But hopefully we will be able to supply the zipSCREEN.2 with Somfy SOLAR motor in the foreseeable future in the large sizes as well." 

The battery in one of the front corners of the Quadro is perfectly accessible, the solar panel can be positioned to the left, center or right of the cabinet for maximum (design) flexibility. "We actually prefer to see the 230 Volt Maestria motor," concludes Toon van Osta, "but the market is increasingly being pushed towards Solar by suppliers. We are responding to this by providing an excellent solution for solar screens as well."
