This year, of course, the sun protection industry was mostly living toward the R+T, but that fair was out of the question for this year. It is moving to 2024, putting it back into Mr. original, triennial rhythm. At Heimtextil, they are now taking a different approach. Under the motto "better la(a)t(er) than never," the event has been moved from January to June. So this time not at the beginning of the season, but now as a kind of rest signal, just before the vacations. Heimtextil as a summer event. But let's see how that works out.
The international trade fair Heimtextil traditionally kicks off the trade fair season. It is the first major international trade fair in Germany right after the holiday season with exhibitors and visitors from more than 135 countries in normal times. The fair will now - it was already more or less announced - be held parallel to the duo fair Techtextil and Texprocess, from Tuesday, June 21 to Friday, June 24, 2022.
By linking the Heimtextil Summer Special and the Techtextil and Texprocess trade fairs, national and international visitors can learn about trends and technical innovations within the global textile sector in one place for the first time.
-Techtextil - Focuses on the entire spectrum of technical textiles, functional apparel fabrics and textile technology.
-Texprocess - Focuses on the latest machinery, equipment, processes and services for the production of apparel, other textiles and flexible materials.
During Heimtextil, the Heimtextil Trends are traditionally presented, in this case for 2022/23. This year, their presentation in the Trend Space - to be found in Hall 4.0 - is half a year later than usual. There is no Trend Book, but that was already known. The reason is that sustainability is central to the new trend themes. In line with this, Heimtextil is publishing the 2022/23 trend information completely digitally for the first time.
