heroal is expanding its heroal D 72 PF EM door sash profile line with a design variant that is flush with the exterior

The heroal D 72 PF EM door system ensures efficient production processes and a lead time that is up to 20% shorter in the workshop. With an established range of solutions for manufacturing various door leaf variants, the system offers fabricators a wide spectrum of options. heroal is now expanding the system with a new version that is processed in the same way and features a flush exterior, with the surrounding shadow joint visible.

New design variant: flush with the exterior, with a continuous shadow line

In addition to the already established version with an uneven exterior, heroal now offers an additional design option: a version in which the door frame and sash are flush on the exterior, with a visible, continuous shadow joint. For the interior, customers can still choose between a flush and a recessed version.

Production of the new design variant is also based on the concept of reversible panel mounting with a circumferential clip profile and utilizes existing components and accessories from the heroal D 72 PF EM product line. Only the fastening of the door panel—which is usually determined by the door panel manufacturer—is different. The installer can therefore fabricate the door as usual and decide only when ordering the door panel whether the door should be installed with the panel protruding or flush with the exterior. When installing and adjusting the door on-site at the construction site, the clearance of the shadow joint must be taken into account, as the joint remains visible in this design variant.

Easy Mount for More Efficient Workshop Processes

All door panels in the heroal D 72 PF EM (Easy Mount) system—whether flush or non-flush—are snapped into place. A continuous clip profile connects the door panel to the sash profile and provides a floating suspension system that better accommodates profile movements and prevents warping. Compared to bonding the entire panel with 2-component adhesives, this reversible fastening method also offers a more efficient and process-reliable installation. No additional profile machining is required. The installation of a cord seal is also unnecessary, allowing the doors to be processed further without any waiting time.

Prevent warping without any extra steps

The geometry of the insulation profile within the sash profile helps prevent warping without requiring any additional production steps. No work needs to be done on the profile composite or the sliding springs, which makes installation easier and faster. The insulation profile serves as both the outer half-shell and the holder for the reversible filler fastener.

Fixed internal stop for fast processing

The door sash profile does not require a glazing bead and is suitable for door panels with a thickness of 48 to 74.5 mm. The fixed inner stop reduces the number of processing steps required for the door panel and contributes to fast production in the workshop.

Optimized Sealing and Insulation

Vulcanized corner pieces connect the door seal to the hardware rebate insulation, eliminating the need for traditional sealing wedges. This reduces material consumption and installation costs. The thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) hardware rebate insulation makes installation easier and is recyclable.

Clamp-on threshold

For the door seal, in addition to the traditional, screw-mounted threshold, a two-piece, continuous threshold solution is also available. This combines the advantages of a design that runs beneath the door frame with those of a surface-mounted door seal. Here, too, installation is done using a snap-fit method, which supports efficient system production.
