Ideal for effectively shielding glass surfaces and lightweight structures, Nivo is Gibus' new tensile canopy, designed to transform the outdoor space into a welcoming and atmospheric environment that can be fully experienced even on the sunniest of days.
Outdoor living is not a passing trend, but a need of contemporary living: after days spent largely indoors, there is a growing desire to find in the outdoors a place of authentic well-being, connection and continuity with nature and the landscape. When living en plein air is partnered with a sophisticated awning, the enjoyment of the outdoors extends throughout the day - without the need to flee indoors during the hottest hours or light rain.
To give shape to precisely this desire for uncompromising outdoor space, Gibus - one of Europe's top players in Outdoor Design - today presents the new tensile awning Level.
Designed for shielding glass surfaces and lightweight structures, this advanced solution filters the sun's rays and creates an even and pleasant light in the outdoor space, allowing you to spend carefree time outdoors regardless of the weather conditions. With its sleek and essential design, Nivo features a cover that moves along side guides, equipped with the ZIP-technology from Gibus - a patented system that guides the movement of the fabric and ensures constant lateral tension. The result is perfect aesthetics without “fluttering,” increased wind resistance (Class 6) and lasting performance over the years.
Gibus has developed this model in two different configurations to respond precisely to the needs of each architectural context: the suspended version, where the cover is mounted directly under the frame of glass roofs, pergolas and verandas, and the overlay version, which is placed on top of existing structures and is ideal when fixing under the frame is not possible. In both configurations, the technical performance remains unchanged: Nivo guarantees effective screening in any version and even in large sizes (maximum dimension 600 x 600 cm).

This awning is also distinguished by its ease of use: it is equipped with a motorization (integrated almost invisibly into the roll-up tube) that can be operated via remote control, or - for even more comfort - directly via smartphone thanks to the handy Gibus Connect-app. Nivo also features specific sun, rain and wind sensors that control the opening and closing of the awning completely autonomously, according to the weather conditions.
As with any Gibus realization, personalization plays a central role: the canvases are available not only in numerous colors, but also in different fabrics - blackout, blackout waterproof or fully blackout waterproof. In addition, the finish of the aluminum structure can also be chosen - sablé, matte, satin or metallic - as well as the color, from thirty sophisticated shades ranging from bronze to corten, from anthracite to stainless steel, and from beige to white.
To enjoy this wellness oasis even in the evening hours, energy-efficient lighting systems are also available: integrated LED microspots in the cassette for diffuse and even light; spot lighting on the crossbar for a more focused beam; and LED strips under the guides
for continuous lighting along the sides. To enhance privacy in a sophisticated and discreet way, a Volant be added - an additional profile attached to the front, into which is rolled a motorized vertical fabric that provides additional protection when the sun is low on the horizon.
Nivo is a perfect synthesis of functionality and design, and the first result of the combined know-how of Gibus and the historic German brand Leiner, which was acquired in 2022 and has since become part of this leading company headquartered in the province of Padua. The gradual integration of the two expertises - Italian and German - results in an offer with advanced technology and distinctive aesthetics, with an increasingly European character, that transforms the outdoor space into a comfortable, sustainable and atmospheric environment: an experience of pure well-being to be fully enjoyed.
