Lifting help for the awning specialist

Lifting aid for the awning specialist

WEAR WITHOUT COMPLAINING

Lifting an awning, roller shutter or screen to the place where it needs to be hung is not always an easy job. Besides what a person can lift, what he or she is allowed to lift is also important. In the construction industry, the NIOSH* method is used, which sets the maximum weight to be lifted at 23 kg. Goods heavier than 50 kg should not be moved manually at all, not even by several people.

To assist in the responsible and safe assembly of thege of an awning, roller shutter or screen, GW Solution from Brasschaat introduces the Toldo-Lift. "For the sun protection specialist, the maintenance-free Toldo-Lift has sheer benefits," believes Jan Gonnissen of GW Solution. "It is the revolutionary tool that every sun protection specialist has been waiting for for years."

If anyone should know, it is Jan Gonnissen, who has made technical consulting and support his profession. Gonnissen (Jan A.H.L by the way, not to be confused with the young Jan Gonnissen) has 30 years of experience as manager in a technical, construction-related company, specializing in garage doors, fences, awnings, roller shutters and industrial applications thereof.

"The Toldo-Lift helps to work ergonomically, with less physical effort and less risk to the back, for example. In addition, safety in the workplace is increased because the maximum permissible load capacity of ladders - 150 kg - and scaffolding no longer needs to be exceeded. This ensures fewer accidents and reduces the risk of material damage."

The Toldo-Lift is portable, easy to transport and can be used in almost any location. Moreover, it fits into almost any elevator and can therefore also be used on terraces or balconies of apartment buildings. The elevator is easily operated by hand power and has an automatic braking system for safety. By using the Toldo-Lift, even the installation of a heavy awning or other installation can be done by one person. "A halving of the work crew that pays for itself in the short term," said Gonnissen. "In addition, a project can be completed faster, which can reduce the consumer price of an installation and/or increase the margin for the blinds specialist."

The Toldo-Lift can be used either freestanding in the A-position or supported against a wall and has a range of about 2 to 3.7 m. Within that range is the mounting height for almost any awning or veranda awning. The maximum mechanical load is 150 kg/lift. Since two elevators are always used, the combined load is thus a maximum of 300 kg.

Jan Gonnissen expects that there will be a lot of interest in the Toldo-Lift. "This product has sheer benefits, particularly ergonomically and financially. People who are interested should get in touch: via the site gwsolution.be/contact, directly at jangonnissen@hotmail.com or by phone at number +32475963757. We are ready for it!"

* The NIOSH method considers not only the weight of the object, but also the conditions under which it is moved, such as frequency, distance of movement, height to the floor and rotation of the body. Based on these data, the NIOSH method determines the maximum weight to be lifted in an ideal lifting situation to be 23 kg.
