Brustor will become a partner of Alpecin-Deceuninck in 2023. The Belgian manufacturer of solutions for sun protection and terrace coverings is thus making its comeback in cycling. "The arrival of Brustor helps to ensure that we can further develop our ambitions for the future."
Alpecin-Deceuninck continues to make strides both athletically and extra-sportically. "We experienced explosive growth in recent years but have not yet reached our end point," says Philip Roodhooft.
"With the arrival of Brustor, we are adding another strong brand to our range of partners and will be able to further expand and fulfill our ambitions.
Brustor is a truly Belgian family business, but is also very active internationally. Similar to the character of the team."
The name of the Belgian company, which has its roots in West Flanders but has an international clientele, will appear on the back of the pants and collar at Alpecin-Deceuninck.
Brustor CEO Lieven Brutsaert is pleased with the new partnership. "We feel a match with the Roodhooft brothers. They are 'workers,' thanks to their hands-on mentality and ambition they have put themselves on the map in a short time.
These are things we also recognize in Brustor's DNA. In addition, we have a heart for sports and also a past in cycling sponsorship. For example, we were active as a sponsor with the Quickstep continental team in 2004 and as a co-sponsor with the Lotto team from 2005 to 2008."
"Thanks to the mulitidisciplinary team that Alpecin-Deceuninck has in place, they have a story to tell throughout the year," Brutsaert further emphasizes.
"By being active in road cycling, cyclocross and mountain biking, we see our brand in the picture for 12 months, which was very important to us.
We are happy to be back and look forward to a great collaboration."
